In the Path of Exile 2 (0.4.0) update, crafting using Orb of Augmentation (augs) and Orb of Annulment (annuls) has become one of the most profitable and straightforward ways to build wealth. In this guide, we’ll break down how to prepare your base, which mods to hunt for, and how much profit you can expect.
For this crafting method, we will be using Gold Amulets.
Item Level: Level 80 is the sweet spot. You can go for iLvl 82 to hit Tier 1 Mana, but keep in mind this increases the mod pool and resource costs.
Resources: For a batch of 20 amulets, you’ll need roughly 1,500 Orbs of Augmentation and 1,500 Orbs of Annulment (an initial investment of about 300 Divines).
The core strategy revolves around a cycle of using Alts, Augs, and Annuls. Your goal is to hit one of the top-tier prefixes: + to Level of All Spell Skills or + to Number of Projectiles.
Step-by-Step:
Use Orb of Alteration (augs+annuls) until you hit a desirable mod (Spells or Projectiles).
If an unwanted suffix appears along with it, use an Orb of Annulment to clear it.
If the mod is "clean" (no suffix), use an Orb of Augmentation to try and add a high-value second stat.
Repeat until you have a clean base with a top-tier mod and, ideally, a solid secondary stat like Mana, Rarity, or Spirit.
Based on current market rates:
Single-mod Spell base: ~40 Divines.
Projectiles base: ~12 Divines.
Average cost per crafted amulet: ~18 Divines.
Average revenue per amulet: ~26 Divines.
The Jackpot: If you hit a combination like +1 Spells + T1 Mana or Rarity, the price of that single amulet can skyrocket to 90–150 Divines.
In just 25–30 minutes, 20 amulets were crafted:
9 Spell-mod amulets (40 Divines each = 360 Divines).
11 Projectile-mod amulets.
Multiple "jackpot" hits with high Mana and Rarity.
Summary: Starting with a 300 Divine investment, the total value of the items produced significantly outweighed the costs, yielding a net profit of over 200 Divines in half an hour.
