Crafting in Path of Exile 2 has become much more strategic. You can no longer just "spam" currency and hope for the best. One of the most profitable methods right now is creating top-tier Energy Shield boots. In this article, we’ll break down how to turn a basic white item into a 40+ Divine powerhouse and how automation makes this process incredibly efficient.

Why Everything Starts with the Base

Forget about buying ready-made Magic bases on the trade site—it's expensive and often cuts into your profit margins. Our journey begins with a Normal (White) iLvl 82 base with 2 sockets (e.g., Sekhema Sandals).

Why this matters:

  1. iLvl 82: This is the threshold required to roll Tier 1 Movement Speed (35% MS).

  2. 2 Sockets: 2-socket Energy Shield bases are rare and valued significantly higher than standard ones.

  3. Cost Efficiency: By starting with a "blank" base, we build the perfect foundation ourselves, saving dozens of Divines in the process.

Step 1: Automating the "Tedious" Part (Magic Base Preparation)

The most monotonous part of this craft is hitting the right combination of mods on a Magic (blue) base—usually T1 Movement Speed paired with a high Resistance. Doing this manually can take hundreds of clicks with Augmentation and Annulment orbs.

This is where the Auto-Crafting Software comes in:

  • What it does: The program automatically applies currency until it hits your exact specified mod combination.

  • The Benefit: You save your wrists from clicking and eliminate the risk of accidentally "scrolling over" a rare mod.

  • The Math: Currently, creating this base yourself costs roughly 5 Divines, whereas similar bases on the trade market can go for 15–20 Divines.

Pro Tip: Use a crafting simulator like Craft of Exile before starting to estimate the average currency spend for your desired mods.

Step 2: Going Rare and Finalizing

Once our perfect Magic base is ready (which takes only a few minutes thanks to the software), we move to the manual phase:

  1. ES Essence: Use Essences to guarantee a high % Energy Shield roll.

  2. Double Exalt: Use Exalted Orb with omens to add suffixes, hoping for Intelligence or additional Resistances or Rarity.

  3. The "Desecrate" Step: Push for the highest possible ES tiers in the prefixes.

  4. Runes: The finishing touch. Applying high-grade Energy Shield runes (Iron) can add another 5–10 Divines to the item's value simply by making it appear in "300+ ES" trade filters.

Summary

The total cost of this craft is approximately 10–12 Divines. With a decent suffix roll (as shown in the video), the final price of the boots jumps to 42+ Divines.

The key to success is picking the right base and using automation tools to build the foundation. While others spend hours clicking, you can focus on market analysis and the final, most rewarding steps of the craft.
