We continue our series on the most profitable crafting methods in the current Path of Exile 2 (0.4.0) meta. Today, we focus on the power of cyclic crafting using Orbs of Augmentation and Orbs of Annulment—this time applied to Talismans.
To get started, you will need Magic (blue) Talismans:
Item Level: Strictly iLvl 82 (required to unlock top-tier damage modifiers).
Base Type: Look for bases with strong implicit modifiers, such as % increased Global Damage or Attributes. While "clean" bases are often cheap, their profit potential is massive.
Our primary objective is to hit Tier 1 Physical Damage (or other top-tier damage prefixes depending on the meta).
The "Auto-crafting" Method:
Use Orbs of Alteration (augs+annuls) until you roll a T1 mod of the desired damage type.
If an unwanted suffix appears, remove it using an Orb of Annulment.
Once the prefix is "clean," use an Orb of Augmentation hoping to hit a valuable second mod. While the chance for a perfect "jackpot" hit is about 3%, even a clean T1 damage base holds significant value.
For this experiment, we invested approximately 300 Divines (covering 1,500 Annuls/Augs and 12 iLvl 82 bases).
Time Spent: Roughly 30 minutes.
Results: We successfully crafted 10 Talismans with T1 damage mods.
Market Value: At the time of recording, a Talisman with T1 Physical Damage on a proper base sells for about 50 Divines.
Summary: From a 300 Divine investment, the total market value of the output reached 500 Divines, resulting in a net profit of 200 Divines in just half an hour.
